Undertable

The Chinese are notorious for their corrupted ways like under table bribing and questionable gifts to high rank officers. But you have to hand it to them, they are really good business-wise.

Anyway, all is well for the pig.

Or is it?

Taichi

Does this sound familiar? It happens at large organizations where the default (and the most intelligent) choice when faced with a task is to push it away.

How will the pig get his ID?

Queue

Anytime you go to a bank to settle errands, you will run into queues.

I suppose queues will be *everywhere*. Even web site log-in have queues. I am not kidding.

Different Treatment

Bureaucracy is something that we normal people and all people should not have to deal with. It is even worse for normal citizens without any clout or political power. We do not have that kind of red tape thousands of years ago. Why now?

Building plan permits, environmental safety permits, time sheets, door ID badges and TPS reports.

We humans in their 20s should not sit in cubicles all day filling up TPS reports.

Resurrection

Wow, one heavy theme after another. This is the part where the movies usually repair the corpse magically.

Road To Heaven

This is the start of the series Road To Heaven. The pig is trying to live happily ever after in the, well umm, after life. But his curiosity and naughtiness always show up at the wrong time.

"Are you real? Not a fake beard right?"

Take Over Your World

The best way to take over your world is by taking over the things that you use to see, hear and talk with each other. This reminds me of the Great Firewall of China. I mean, most people are navigating the Internet through the filter called Google anyway.

How much power do they have on information control, in other words, is it really "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG)?
How about those that you cannot see?
Hmm.

Hype

It is amazing to what great lengths that the movie makers are trying to avoid the "Superman Curse".

*Spoiler Start*
Only one instance of Superman was uttered in the film. Is it just me or is the Man of Steel trying too hard not to smile at all in this reboot?
*Spoiler End*

Diet

Most people wanted to have a celebrity body. But the work they put in only has the intensity of an old arthritic grandma's spanking. If people point them in the right direction, they will instead scream "genetics", "I don't want to get too strong" and "ectomorph".

Good Samaritan (3)

Here is another episode of "Good Samaritan", where the good guys are not always what they seemed to be. There is a saying that goes like - beggars can't be choosers. Can they choose their robbers? Apparently not.

Good Samaritan (2)

A comical situation arises when someone tries to lie their way out when being caught red handed doing crimes or anything equivalent. Be rest assured it does not end well for the pig above.

Just come out with full honesty. It will be painful, but at least you get to keep your dignity.

Good Samaritan

Ah, the nice guy that always help out when things go wrong. You will never suspect them. They waltz in and out among the chaos and took something that they are targeting since the start. The person needs to have a combination of opportunistic character, magician like acting ability plus no conscience whatsoever.

Rest in peace. Or not.

Driver Syndrome

The car is a nice extension of us. They can take us anywhere, let us show off, and most importantly kept us anonymous. Just like the Internet. We can use the car as a mask for us being a nasty jerk.

Usually the nice guys are the nastiest in cars. True story.

Common Courtesy

Most people are decent and good mannered. But some bad apples in this country did most of the bad stuff. Worse of all the crowd do nothing and just stands there. Them being deliberately oblivious to their wrong doing.

Some even ran away at the sight of accidents. Just to evade the responsibility of being an eyewitness. This a good topic, accidents. I will do an accident related topic in the following comic strips.

We Are Special

There are nothing wrong with taking lives of pigs and chickens. Even elementary school children are taught to not take offense. Most will not think about the dead pig when they eat pork chops. Yet when we watch cannibals eat other human or dinosaurs feed on us, it is considered a horror movie scene.

Hmm.

And I just watched Jurassic Park.

Compliment

Reunions, weddings and formal dinners. An occasion that we all love and hate. We will exchange compliments with people that we have not met in years. Then we will all take photos and give a big smile and handshakes.

At least the food is free. No, wait..I just paid xx amount as gifts...

Cog In The Machine

The future are being preached by the Man (Boss/Religion/Head of Initrode Company/Fortune Telling lady) as a happy place full with money, relaxation at beaches and hot men/women. In other words carrot on a stick. I just hope more people can work hard at whatever they want rather than what other people want them to.

Some people are just clueless they are being teased by a carrot on a stick all their lives. Just let me eat that carrot damn!

Profanity

Our environment nurtures us and at the same has a big influence on how we will turn out as adults. Parents knew this all too well. Some tried to do their best to give them the best education and material wealth. Others shed all their bad habits and became role model Moms and Dads for their kids. But some parents tried too hard and it is really tiring to always be in 'actor' mode.

A few of them parents do not do so well though, so they end up in this comic strip.

Democracy

The pig tried to increase his own votes by being smart and bold.

This actually happened in real life at a recent South East Asian countries' election. A political party tried bringing in extra full ballot boxes from nowhere after voting is closed and vote counting has started.

The sad part is they succeeded.

Earth Around The Sun

Galileo defended the "Earth revolves around the Sun" theory and died trying. The pig tried to spread the truth at different eras and look where that got him. Every period has something that we can or cannot say. It may seem absurd that we have that kind of thinking right? We have progressed so much ain't it?

No Difference

Here is an obligatory post about Matrix movies. This science fiction trilogy tells the tale of unplugged humans in a post apocalyptic world, where we found out that we are being reduced to mere batteries, the power source for our slave driver, the Machines. We are plugged in to their simulator computer so we can live a content and obedient life, well, until forever.

It does make people wonder, would you choose to go back, take the blue pill? Or do we actually have a way to know the difference? What choice did we made anyway?

A Pig's Life

Our life are similar to the ant's life if we take a telescope and watch ourselves from the Moon. We drive the same car to the same place to work, eat and mess around every day. Then we come back to our little nest and rest.

And we do it again.

And again.

Inner Beauty

I applaud Angelina Jolie for taking the right choice, yes life is more important. But all men knew the main reason why we felt a slight tingly disappointment. Anyway the fans will still have Tomb Raider DVDs to get back to, won't they?

My Hero

I just watched Iron Man 3 recently. Yes it was a belated movie rant, but I can't help but feel there is an invisible hand worming its way into its plot. The sequence that shows a kid helping Iron Man to get back on its feet feels suspicious and out of place.

Let's just hope the Marvel heroes will not suddenly all hold hands and sing kum-ba-yah.
